Lobster Lobster Lobster and More Lobster

As visions of lobster rolls danced in my head. Our trip to Provincetown started at 3:30 am on Tuesday. It was a long travel day hugging the east coast traveling in two planes and a boat to get from Charleston to P-town. But we arrived safe and sound twelve hours later, exhausted but here and ready for R&R and wine. Of course wine, always wine.  And yes, lobster! After checking-in, we knew what we needed to do before anything else – get a lobster roll.  At this point this was more than an early dinner than the lunch we never had as…

Provincetown in 3-2-1…

Wedding images are posted. Bills are paid. Friends are staying at the house taking care of the fish. So let it be said, I am on vacation. And boy, do I need it bad this year. I am leaving all the computer issues behind me, my sister’s kidney stones are a thing of the past, and the puppies are in good hands. So off to Provincetown, we go. This trip makes our seventh year. It is where we got married in 2013 (our 25th year together). It is one of my favorite places in the world. And one of the few places where I…

Wine for the Weekend

I know it seems silly to say it’s a wine weekend when every weekend includes wine at some point. But hey, it’s Friday, and I have had a rough couple of weeks so just go with it. The wines I am talking about today are incredible treats. I know I say that all the time but that is one of the great things about wine. There is a surprise waiting for you inside every bottle. And that is what makes wine so exciting and unlike any other beverage. Just when you find a special treat, it is gone, and the search…

Queso Fundido Pizza

I’mmmmm baaacckkkk! OMG, yesterday was such a fantastic day!  I started the day with a 3-mile walk with my niece-puppy and sweat by butt off. Then I finished processing and posted a wedding for one of my clients while doing six loads of laundry. While the computer chugged away on the wedding, I went to a wine tasting at Monarch Wine Merchants and met some new importers. Came home and made a Queso Fundido Pizza that I have imagined in my head for over a week. By then it was 10:30 pm and I was exhausted so I could not keep…

Wine Tasting & August Social Recap

Wow, I needed this wine tasting. Too many crises and juggling way too much. It could not have come a day too soon. Since I last posted a lot continues to happen to limit my ability to post every day.  Yes, my crashed computer was misdiagnosed and then “fixed” but not really. Then three days later, fixed again only this time for real. But now that first fix is causing problems because it conflicts with much of my image editing software. I can either spend seven hundred to a thousand dollars to update software.  Or I can get it back to…

August Social & Wine Tasting is TONIGHT Aug 3

What better way to turn the dark days of my July into the fun days of August. The August Social & Wine Tasting is tonight and I can not wait to see those of you who can make it. I have missed you and am sorry that I went dark for several days. That is what happens when your computer crashes multiple times over several days. And after two trips to the Apple store it gets an extended stay and they promise it won’t come home until its fixed. Add to that the kitchen incident that you already know about,…
